It has become a routine since then, in order to ditch the harsh conditions of dehydration and abuse of my body.
Thanks to Ice for finding my tiny veins, smoothly and painlessly!

As a parent, ensuring my son was in good hands is number one priority. Livelydrops reliable and safe mobile service is incredibly important, has exceeded all expectations. The process was seamless, the plan options were clear and flexible, and Maggie answered any questions I had.
I especially appreciate how Maggie texted a few hours later to check in on my son. It’s rare to find a company that combines quality service with such a personal touch.
Thank you for making this experience stress-free and enjoyable. I will gladly recommend Livelydrops Mobile to other parents and families who value outstanding service and reliability.

Maggie was the consummate professional. She was organized and friendly, making me instantly feel at ease even though I’m not the biggest fan of needles.
As a former professional athlete and someone who still trains at a very high level, Maggie recommended the Super Immunity, and it was exactly what I needed to get back to feeling energized and strong! She was clean, efficient, and most importantly her IV worked phenomenally! I can’t recommend her highly enough and look forward to my next IV!

From the moment I contacted Lively Drop, Maggie was incredibly attentive. She frequently checked in on my symptoms and made sure to keep me informed about her arrival time. Her genuine concern and personalized care were truly comforting during a tough period.
When she arrived, Maggie was not only punctual and professional but also warm and friendly. She provided exceptional service and didn’t just leave after the treatment; she followed up later that day and again the next day to ensure I was on the mend. This level of dedication and follow-up is truly impressive.
Living in Carson, I’ve noticed that many service providers won’t travel beyond Gardena or the South Bay area. Maggie’s willingness to come all the way to Carson was a huge relief and a clear indication of her commitment to her clients.
I highly recommend Lively Drop Mobile Therapy for anyone in need of IV therapy. Maggie’s friendly, professional, and genuinely caring approach sets her apart, and I will definitely be using their services again in the future. If you’re looking for exceptional care and reliable service, Lively Drop Mobile Therapy is the way to go!

If you have searched for a migraine IV, you will have found two very different things wearing similar names. It is worth knowing which one you are looking at before you book, because the gap between them is large.
We offer a Migraine Drip. It is hydration and magnesium delivered at home by a nurse. It is not the migraine infusion therapy an infusion centre provides, and this page explains the difference rather than blurring it.
Everything About the Migraine IV Drip
What a Hospital or Infusion Centre Gives You
When people talk about a migraine cocktail or migraine infusion therapy in a medical setting, they mean prescription medications delivered intravenously under physician supervision. Typically that includes some combination of anti-nausea medication, an anti-inflammatory, a triptan, magnesium, and sometimes dihydroergotamine, known as DHE, for a severe migraine attack that has not broken.
Separately, an outpatient infusion center may administer preventive treatments such as Vyepti, a CGRP inhibitor given by infusion every few months to reduce migraine frequency. That is migraine prevention, it is prescribed by a neurologist, and it is a treatment plan rather than a single appointment.
Both of those are acute or preventive treatment of migraine. Both require a prescription and medical oversight. Neither is a mobile wellness service, and if that is what you need, a home visit is not the right call.
What Our Migraine Drip Is
Ours is on the drip menu and is a supportive hydration infusion:
- A litre of IV fluid with electrolytes. Dehydration is a well recognised migraine trigger, and people often become more dehydrated during an attack because nausea stops them drinking.
- Magnesium. There is reasonable evidence that magnesium plays a role in migraine, that some people who get migraines run low on it, and that intravenous magnesium is used in clinical settings for acute migraine. It is the ingredient with the most support behind it here.
- B vitamins including B12. Nutrient support, particularly if you have not eaten.
Whether anti-nausea medication is available depends on the medical direction in place, since it is a prescription item. Ask at booking rather than assuming.
What this is, honestly, is fluid and magnesium delivered somewhere dark and quiet instead of a bright waiting room. For some people during an attack that combination genuinely helps. It is not the same as being treated for migraine.
When This Is Not the Right Option
See a doctor rather than booking a drip if any of this applies.
You have never had a migraine before. A first severe headache needs assessment, not a wellness infusion.
The headache came on suddenly and severely. A thunderclap headache that peaks within seconds is a medical emergency. Call 911.
It comes with new neurological symptoms. Weakness on one side, difficulty speaking, vision loss, confusion, or a stiff neck with fever. Emergency care.
It is different from your usual pattern. A change in your migraine symptoms deserves a proper look.
You are getting them frequently. If migraines are affecting your life regularly, the answer is a neurologist and a treatment plan, which may include preventive medication. Repeat hydration infusions are not a substitute for that and we will tell you so.
The attack has lasted more than 72 hours. That is status migrainosus and needs medical treatment.
Why People Book It Anyway
Given all of that, it still has a place for some people.
The common situation is somebody with an established migraine diagnosis, already under a doctor, who is mid attack, cannot keep water or oral medications down, and does not want fluorescent lights and a four hour wait. Fluids and magnesium at home, in the dark, is a reasonable supportive measure in that situation.
The other is dehydration driven headache that is not a true migraine at all, where rehydration alone often resolves it.
If you are not sure which you are dealing with, that itself is a reason to speak to a doctor first.
Where This Sits Among Migraine Treatment Options
It helps to see the full range of IV infusions for migraine as a ladder.
At the top is preventive infusion care from a neurologist, given at an outpatient infusion center every few weeks or months to reduce how often migraine headaches happen. In the middle is acute treatment: a migraine cocktail of prescription IV medications for an attack that will not break, delivered in an emergency department or infusion centre. Migraine infusions of that kind are a medical treatment option and require a prescription.
At the bottom, and this is where our IV treatment sits, is supportive hydration. Fluid and magnesium delivered into the bloodstream at home while you wait out an attack. It is not migraine infusion therapy in the clinical sense and we would rather you understood that than booked expecting migraine relief we cannot promise. If hydration is the gap, this closes it. If you need treatment of migraine itself, you need the rungs above.
How Medical Migraine Infusion Therapy Works
Since this is what most people are looking for when they search, here is how migraine infusion therapy works in a clinical setting, so you can tell whether you need it.
Acute infusion treatment is used for a severe migraine attack that has not responded to oral medications, sometimes a migraine lasting more than 72 hours. It often requires a combination of medications, typically 3 to 4, delivered directly into the bloodstream: an anti-inflammatory, an anti-nausea drug, magnesium, and sometimes dihydroergotamine. One medication is frequently included to counteract the side effects of another. Because infusion therapy delivers medications directly rather than making them pass through the digestive system, it works when swallowing pills has stopped being an option.
Preventive treatment is different again. CGRP treatments like Vyepti are administered once every three months to reduce migraine frequency and severity, by acting on substances in the brain and blood vessels involved in migraine. That is IV migraine prevention, prescribed by a neurologist, and it is what many patients whose migraines are frequent actually need.
These treatments have possible side effects, from mild and common side effects like nausea through to more serious ones, which is exactly why they belong with a physician. Academic settings and neurology groups with infusion centers offer infusion therapy for refractory migraine, including headache treatment in pediatric and adolescent patients. Guidance from bodies such as the American Headache Society shapes how these are used.
None of that is what we provide. If you have chronic daily headache or need treatment for refractory migraine, ask your doctor about infusion care. If you are dehydrated mid attack and want fluids at home, that is where we fit.

FAQS
Will they give you an IV for a migraine?
In an emergency department or infusion centre, yes, and that usually means prescription medications such as anti-nausea drugs, anti-inflammatories or DHE. A mobile wellness service like ours provides fluids and magnesium, which is supportive rather than a treatment for the migraine itself.
Does IV magnesium help migraines?
There is reasonable evidence that magnesium is involved in migraine and that intravenous magnesium is used for acute attacks in clinical settings, particularly in people who are deficient. It is the best supported ingredient in this drip, and it is not a guaranteed fix.
What is a migraine cocktail?
The informal name for a combination of intravenous medications given in a medical setting for a severe migraine attack, usually including an anti-nausea drug, an anti-inflammatory and sometimes DHE. It requires a prescription and supervision.
What is the best treatment for chronic migraines?
A plan from a neurologist. That may include preventive medication, CGRP treatments such as Vyepti given by infusion, trigger identification and acute medications. Hydration helps but does not treat chronic migraine, and anyone selling a drip as the answer is not helping you.
Can I get an IV at home during a migraine?
Yes, if you have an established diagnosis and are dehydrated or cannot keep fluids down. If the headache is new, sudden, unusually severe, or comes with neurological symptoms, that is emergency care instead.
How long does it take?
Around 30 to 60 minutes, and the nurse can work in low light without conversation if that is easier.
